On Friday, July 18, 2025, Miss Lisa Morgan, Vice Dean of International and Specialized Programs at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies in Canada, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Miss Morgan was accompanied to the IPO by Dr. (Mrs.) Princess Ruhama Acheampong, International Liaison Officer for the Africa Health Collaborative; Mrs. Eva Boakye Yiadom, Project Manager; and Miss Dinah Keziah Gardiner, Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - all from the Mastercard Foundation at KNUST.
Her visit to KNUST formed part of discussions on the ongoing Public Health Policy collaboration between KNUST, the University of Toronto, and Ashesi University. As part of her visit, Miss Morgan took the opportunity to engage with the International Programmes Office to explore further areas of collaboration and partnership.
During the meeting, Miss Morgan shared an overview of the academic offerings at the School of Continuing Studies. She noted that the school offers more than 800 courses ranging from post-high school to post-doctoral levels, with approximately 70% of these courses delivered online.
Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed KNUST’s commitment to forging strong academic partnerships that enhance the quality of education offered to its students. He recounted the recent leadership between the two institutions and highlighted the capabilities of KNUST’s E-Learning Centre as an ideal platform for collaborating on online course delivery. He assured Miss Morgan that he would facilitate a meeting between her and the Director of the E-Learning Centre to further explore opportunities for cooperation.
Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer - all from the International Programmes Office.
