Faculty and Students from the University of Brunel, UK, called on the Vice Dean of IPO, Prof. Esmeranda Manful on 5th May 2023 at the International Programmes Office (IPO).
According to the leader of the group, Prof. Nana Anokye, the Director of the division of Global Public Health, University of Brunel, and an alumnus of KNUST, the purpose of their visit to KNUST was to interact with the staff and students at the School of Public Health to explore areas for further networking. They intend to visit primary facilities and other places of public health importance in Kumasi and other parts of the Ashanti Region.
Prof. Manful welcomed the team and gave an overview of KNUST and the activities of the International Programmes Office. She wished them a fruitful stay in and around campus. The students from the University of Brunel are of diverse educational backgrounds including Optometry, Engineering, Nursing, Health Economics and Medicine and are now pursuing a one-year master’s programme in Public Health.
Present at the meeting was Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, the Assistant Registrar of IPO.
