Burkina Institute of Technology Explore Collaboration Opportunities With KNUST

Simon Pfugler, a graduate student from Technical University of Munich, Germany on an exchange programme in KNUST, has called on the Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Duah on May 11, 2023, on behalf of the President of Burkina Institute of Technology, Ms. Susanne Pertl.

Burkina Institute of Technology (BIT) is a growing private university in Koudougou, Burkina Faso and was first set up in 2018. The University was ranked the best private Higher Education Institution in Burkina Faso in 2022. The first curriculum was designed by TUM with whom KNUST has an existing partnership.

BIT offers three bachelor's degrees, all taught in English including; Computer Science and Entrepreneurship, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce BIT to KNUST and to discuss the possibility for collaboration, especially in areas of faculty mobility.

The Dean expressed the interest of KNUST in exploring the possibility of a partnership and looked forward to further engagement with leadership of BIT.

Present at this meeting was Theresa Joy Kamassah, Officer responsible for collaboration support at the International Programmes Office.
