Dipl. Angelika Plummer and Prof. Dr. Caroline Gunther from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany paid a courtesy call on the Head, Department of Architecture, Prof. Rexford Assasie Oppong on June 15, 2023.
KNUST and Frankfurt university have been partners since 2011. The purpose of their visit was for an Erasmus Staff Mobility where they joined various Architecture studios to give expert input on Barrier Free designs and to support the next Erasmus+ student exchange in winter 2023/2024 Academic year.
Prof. Assasie Oppong welcomed the team and recalled the existing cordial relationship between the two institutions during his time as Dean of the International Programmes Office. He expressed his delight about the visit adding that the Department was ready to support the student mobility once they received official notification from the International Programmes Office. He mentioned the upcoming Mock Design Thesis examinations for the Master of Architecture students and invited the team to join physically or virtually to give feedback based on their expertise.
The Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Duah was grateful for the warm reception and looked forward to the strengthening of the relationship between the two universities.
