Three Professors from University of Brescia, Italy Call on Dean of International Programmes Office

Three Professors comprising of Marco Rusnati, Professor of Environmental Pathology and Immunology, Roberto Ronca, Professor in General Pathology and Gregorio Peron, Photochemistry and Metabolomics both in the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine at the University of Brescia, Italy called on the Dean of the International Programmes Office, Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

The three Professors are at KNUST for a 5-day teaching mobility at the Colleges of Health Science and Science. Professors Rusnati and Ronca will be teaching “Molecular Pathology, an Overview” and “Experimental Oncology: in Vitro to in Vivo Preclinical Models to study Tumor Biology and Therapeutic Approaches,” at the College of Health Science, respectively. Prof. Peron will be teaching “Food Chemistry of Vegetables and Fruits” at the College of Science. They expressed their delight at the Teaching Mobility opportunity which also presents Collaboration avenues and leaning different ways of approaching issues in their respective domains.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Management of the University, Prof. Duah welcomed them to KNUST. He expressed his excitement for the visit, and the importance of the collaboration between the two institutions. He mentioned that KNUST has a student population of 86,459 and a very beautiful and vibrant campus. Prof Duah noted that the three (3) key areas of collaboration for KNUST are student mobility, staff mobility and joint research and that the university is happy to receive them and looked forward to reciprocal visits by faculty in their respective colleges to Brescia.

Later, the Professors were introduced to their respective Colleges to begin their teaching mobility.
