Prof. Nicholas Anastasopoulos from National Technical University of Athens, Greece Calls on Dean of the International Programmes Office

Prof. Nicholas Anastasopoulos from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece called on the Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah on July 19, 2023.

KNUST and NTUA has recently signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate for the collective good of both parties. Prof. Anastasopoulos is here to explore the implementation of this MOU and to undertake some research activities on survey of sustainability elements in vernacular and contemporary architecture in Ghana, Community life and its reflection in space-making and participate in studios conferences, and meetings with members of the Faculty of Built Environment.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Management of the University, Prof. Duah welcomed Prof. Anastasopoulos to KNUST. He was delighted about the visit and stressed the importance of collaboration between KNUST and NTUA. He stated that KNUST has been ranked the best in the world for SDG 4, Quality Education by the Times Higher Education for 2023. This would open opportunities for collaboration between KNUST and Greece following earlier engagements with the Counselor General of the Greece embassy in Ghana.

Present at the meeting were Dr. Maria Panta, Lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Miss Shalom Ewenam Agborli, Inbound Exchange Officer at the International Programmes Office.
